Our First Marriage Without The Registrar!

On Saturday 12th June 04 we celebrated the first marriage without the registrar present. New Churches require a registrar to register the marriages for the first year, after which the building can be duly registered. So for Nicola and Duncan and for the church itself, this was a very special occasion: No1 in the register!
About a hundred people attended the ceremony and continued to celebrate in the adjoining Community Centre where the reception was held.
On this special day, we were privileged to share the joy of Nicola and Duncan, and they will remember that their names appear in the first marriage entry in the first marriage register in the newest Church in Buckinghamshire!
“I would like to thank Father Fred and all the people in the church that helped to make Nicola and Duncan's wedding a beautiful day to remember. The church and it surroundings are lovely. Rosie the photographer also said it was great to be able to take pictures of the wedding, during the service and signing of the registers. Thank you to all of you, it was a great day, one always to remember as they are the first two names in the register.”
