EMMAUS the way of faith

We are currently running a new Emmaus "The way of faith" course at the church on Sunday evenings from 6.00 p.m.

Designed to help disciples live out their faith, it explores some of the fundamental questions about our identity as Christians, such as: "Who am I?" and "What difference should faith make to my outlook on life?!" The course consists of the following "Four short modules for growing Christians":

  • Living Images
    • What a wonderful world
    • Enjoying God's world
    • Creating with God
    • Living with God
  • Overcoming Evil
    • Sin: living with gravity
    • Idols and addictions
    • The true and false self
    • Global warning
  • Personal Identity
    • The search for identity
    • The gift of identity
    • The model of identity
    • The battle for identity
  • Called into Life
    • Called by God
    • Called to conversion
    • Called into community
    • Called into mission

The author of Emmaus, Robert Warren, said: "Christianity has always been first and foremost a way of life rather than simply a message to be preached. That is particularly vital in today’s world where an appeal to authority leaves people cold, while an authentic demonstration of what faith means will attract."

All welcome. You can join at any stage of the course.
